MY RESPONSIBILITIES:

My superior and me were working on the design of the reversible ratchet, whereas I created the 3D-design and renderings. Various colleagues and me transmitted the designlanguage on different products from SW-Stahl. Besides that my responsibility laied in defining the new brand idendity and creating print and digital media.

INITIAL SITUATION

SW-Stahl comissioned squreone with designing a new reversible ratchet. After the successfull cooperation, we designed the top products of their portfolio by using the new defined designlanguage. Simultaneously we were working on a new brand image same as a new booth for SW-Stahl that fits to the new productdesign.

REVERSIBLE RATCHET

The reversible ratchet from SW-Stahl impresses with its well-balanced design and ergonomic handling. Defined contours, a slim shape and a high-grade finish result in a professional and dynamic overall appearance. The smart details simplify the usage of the reversible ratchet for a smooth workflow: labels on the ratchets head show the direction of rotation, a flattened hole allows an easy mounting and the ergonomically designed handle enables optimal power transmission.

In order to apply the design of the reversible ratchet on other products, we defined a designguideline that defines details like the blue shapes on the handles, typographic details and the overall shape.

BRAND IDENDITY

The new corporate Idendity for SW Stahl is modern and dynamic and distinguishes through the defined Pulse - Line that is based on the blue shapes of the new products. Also the new corporate typeface gives the brand a fresh and sporty appearance.

In order to have a stringend brand image, we defined packaging designs that should erouse emotion, interest and curiosity as thepackaging consstitutes the first experience between the user and the product.

We redifned the product portfolio of SW-Stahl and designed new category-icons for the catalogues and the website of the brand.

In order to introduce the new Corporate Idendity to the brand image of SW Stahl on all channels, we are still in process of adapting it to all digital and print communications media.
